Mountain lion encounter

Seen one here and had tracks consistently for a couple of years at a wild life pond. More often than bear tracks that we do have officially.

There's at least one here. Guy 4 miles North of me as the crow flies, has two pics on his game cam.

Two people have seen one 7 miles SSW of me. This past winter coming home from shopping there were tracks on the road in

the snow for a hundred yards, then turned east. 4 1/2-5 inches in diameter. Over the years there been many game cam pics

in the UP of Michigan.

We have cougars here. Never seen one. However - I don't wander around the property at night either.
I have seen a few while walking in the woods, but generally I see them run across the road when I drive woods roads.

They are in my area also, rare but I have seen a game camera picture of one on my property about 5 years ago, nieghbor lady saw it while cutting hay, some folks said she didn’t know what she was talking about until they saw the game camera picture.

Bagpipes are a weapon of war. All hikers should be playing one for protection.

Remember, you hear one bagpipe song you have heard them both...

Why do Pipers walk when playing? Harder to hit a moving target...

If you watch the video it is hard to understand why it says the mountain lion was scared off by the harmonica. Two notes were played and then sometime later the lion finally walks away. Definitely did not seem to be in reaction to the harmonica.

I also have to question the intelligence of someone that confronts a mountain lion and decides to take video and reach for a harmonica.

I'm pretty sure that lion wasn't sticking around already. It definitely wasn't being aggressive and it was looking around for its own escape path already before the astounding noises of the harmonica were played...

Still for whatever reason it reminds me of this ridiculous video:
I just found the story comical and posted it as a humorous diversion.

Some people claim we have them here but they are like yetis; they never leave tracks and are able to distort any photograph taken of them so that they look like a blob.
