Most fun gun to shoot?

Me too, when I was at the Police Academy...did you notice how it goes up and to the right as you are firing on full auto...you have to muscle it down...it was a shock the first time I fired it.

Yes, the same results. I also remember touching the barrel, and it was so hot, that I swear that you could fry an EGG on it.

It would be a toss-up for me. A TC Hawken with some FF and a round ball, or a friends little Rossi remake of a Winchester pump 22lr.

There are lots of guns that i would LOVE to get to shoot...but unless i luck out and find someone with one ill never get the chance. (Thompson machine gun being high on the list)

Of the guns i own, i really have to say the old Colt 1911 .45 is my all time favorite gun to shoot. Ive put 1000s of rounds thru is over the past 25 years. just love it. I recently purchased a new Springfield xds in .45acp, but have not as yet fired it. well see how it compares.

I also purchased some new 25 round magazines for my wife's Ruger 10/22 so we get to play with that next week...baring rain.

Had it all planned out to target shoot this weekend...but its pouring rain.

Bought a Henry H001L Lever Action Carbine last week. Shoots 22S/L/LR with a nice trigger. Just a fun gun to shoot. Second place, at least for now, would be a Ruger MkII with a PacLite upper. It also has a FastFire II red dot sight as well as Volquartson trigger parts. And did I mention the supressor? Lots of fun and no noise.

I had a Henry H001 for a few years....sweet rifle for plinking!
If I hadn't found that Marlin 39A, I'd still have the Henry.....kind of sorry I sold it, actually.

Probably one of the most impressive guns that I have ever shot was a Barrett in .50 caliber BMG. A gentleman was shooting one at the rifle range one day and asked me if I wanted to try a couple of rounds.

Agree with others, many moon ago, I was a explorer with the local police dept, a trip to the range with a tommy gun was great. One mag on semi auto and one mag on full auto. The movies show the mag lasting forever... real life, about 5 seconds and a 20 round mag is empty. Also, enjoyed the M-16 on full auto... I shoot left handed and my right arm is always burned with the hot brass.

Man that's a hard one, I have several I really like, but keep circling back to my Smith and Wesson Model 41 with 5 1/2" heavy barrel. I will never be able to shoot well enough to do it justice, but it's a great gun to shoot.

Second that motion, the S&W 41 is a beaut and hard to beat for the all-around prize, only it is rather expensive to buy.

But the AR pattern rifles are the most fun long guns, IMHO.

Yes, the Marlin 39A is the king of the lever 22s in my opinion. But the Henrys are a good value.
