HK MP5 for me, fun to fire and incredibly versatile "entry weapon" Loved knowing "she" was in the car:thumbsup:, I have never had the opportunity to operate an M60 or .50, probably more "funner"

Marlin 982, 22WMR

Very reliable, very accurate.

And something about bolt action just makes it more fun. :D

MP5 is one of the nicest subguns you can have.. in my opinion the Mac 10 was one of the worst. It is all about controllability and the ability to put rounds on target.. The MP5 is a good one. I have never shot the UZI. but i understand they are pretty nice too.

James, you got that right!! HK makes a heck of a weapon and a sure winner with the MP5. I never fired an UZI either, but dont think I'd want it over the MP5. Being the 1st one through the door" I felt comfortable with the HK, that was one worry I didn't have, if you know what I mean.

All this love for full-autos ... I keep picturing videos of the visitors who plonk $ down to fire a .308 mini-gun or an M 60 mounted on a post. Some 'yeehaaa' during the noisy, one-trigger-pull part and a 2% chance they'll look downrange to see if they hit a target at all.

I never had so much fun with .22s/rimfires til I sold the .17 HMR and laid my 10/22 aside for the big gun feel of cycling the CZ452's bolt. Just love the 452 in .22 mag too, as it's quite effective on groundhogs, coon, fox, & coyote within 100yd. Few of my CFs are as accurate, but seems I'm usually lugging the 77/22 Hornet around the yard when stalking feral cats. I go for house sparrows with a Rem 11-48 in .410 and muskrats with another in 20ga. Lately, I'm sorting out a Benjamin NPXL 1100 .22-pellet gas piston powerhouse. (20+ ft/lb ME) Hard to pick a real fave among 'em.

It's all fun and I'm with OP & murphy1244 for the most part. btw: "You never stand so tall as when you stoop to stomp a varmint!"

Yes the MP5 give you a level of confidence that you can hit what you aim at with multiple rounds, and right fast too! The MAC 10 bullet hose on the other hand, when I had fired a few magazines thru it, I said to myself ( I would much rather have a good semi- auto handgun than this thing). Oh it will spit out a lot of rounds in a hurry, but it was no fun trying to control it. The Ruskie RPK was alright. When I finished with it (75 round drum) I though I would be pretty well armed with one of these, and the AK-74 wasn't bad either.

My Savage 270 Win w Nikon scope is a dream. The accutrigger has made me deadly son. Usually follow my 2 shots to shoot the center out of the target with a hundred or so rounds thru the Yugo SKS. I have several of the cheap Russian Mosin Nagants that are fun to shoot, watch the fire out the end and the ammo is still cheap if you get surplus. At least compared to commercial stuff. Then there's the 12 guage slug barrel, makes a nice hole in anything..... I have an old 22LR thats great for blinking too.

As has been said several times anything that you have ammo for.

The most impressive I have shot was a M61A1 Vulcan. Sound was fantastic, realizing how much was leaving the barrels unbelievable, and seeing what was happening down range all amazing. Thank goodness I did not pay the ammo costs by myself, we all jointly paid the ammo costs.

I have no idea what 1 round of that 20MM ammo costs, but I am guessing many dollars. so at 6000 rounds per minute.. I am guessing I am dead broke in about 10 seconds.
