MMM trade for snowblower

Hi, I'm a new list member and owner of a BX2200. I was thinking about maybe trying to trade my 60 inch mid mount mower which has maybe 10 hours on it for a snowblower. Are the two comparable in value for a trade or should I sell the mower and buy a snowblower as a separate deal? Sorry if this is a newbie type question but I'm having trouble figuring out what this type of equipment goes for. Tim

You will get far more knowledgeable replies than mine...but I would guess it depends on quite a few variables. There is one thing I'm sure of...trading (anything) will cost you money, since the dealer has to offer you an amount that ensures some profit. That said, selling something as specific as an MMM which will only fit similar tractors may have it's challenges. I don't know if this is useful: the 60" MMM for my B2920 was about $2300, but 50" Kubota 3 PH snowblowers can be had in the off season for about $1700-$1800 (I read that after I paid about $2200 for mine). A front mount blower will be much more expensive.

Maybe I'll try to find a used snowblower to trade for. Or even a wood chipper. I can get some use out of those and the mower is just going to sit in the shed.

First, do you have a FEL? If so, does it have the 4-way controller?

The blower should have twice the value of the mower. It also requires the BX2751 subframe and mid PTO kit/shaft.

If you don't have the proper FEL controller, you also need that. It would require both the controller and the plumbing to be installed.
