I have an old Century 70 mig that has a problem.. All of a sudden when I went to use it last it tripped the breaker.. I opened up the case to take a look and all looks fine no bad or burned wires.. If I put it on low and turn it on it pulsated and humms for a bit then trips the breaker,,,on high it humms once and trips it too...

Anyone any ideas ???

Maybe try rotating the drive rolls with some pliers while pulling the trigger.

Don't know anything about Mig, but rectifiers are typically diodes connected together to allow current flow in one direction. Most multimeters have a diode checker that will beep in one direction indicating approx. .7volt drop. in the other it should be many mega ohms resistance.
