1998 MF1540,shuttle, can't find it on TractorData says started in 2005?
Is this an different model that is turbo charged and are they any good?

I don't think that's a 1998 model at all. Back then, the design of tractors consisted more on square and straight lines. I'm leaning more towards 2005 or more.

You can try and check identification plate and see if there is any mention of the year. If not, then try searching for the one on the engine, usually in the valve cover as is should something about complying with the EPA emissions requirements of XXXX year.

Has 1500 hrs and asking 6k. I don't think the guy knows what he has. Going to try to see it tomorrow.
Any trouble with turbo's on these?

6k for the tractor? That's quite a deal, almost too good. Make sure everything works and sounds good.

I agree, will check turbo for leaks and clutch play.
