MF-50 tire size

We have an MF-50 in desperate need of new rear tires. What's on there now are 14.9-24 on 13" wide rims. They don't look correct so I thought about getting 13.6-24, but since we have a set of chains for plowing, should I be worried about how well the chains will fit, and how much traction might be lost with less width?

If anyone else is reading, I'm under the impression that the MF-50 usually has the same width and rim size as an 8N, 12.4-28.

If the rims are original then TractorData shows the tire size should be 12.4-28.

Thanks for digging that up, Stan!

We're not the original owners so I'm not sure what might have happened with the rims. We can't afford new rims too, so I guess we'll just have to go with the same size.
