I have a MF 240 with a 232 loader.
The 232's front mount hydro pump shaft has failed.
The shaft is bolted to the crank and goes through the front axle.

How do I remove the shaft from the crank?
I see some bolts but I don't see how to get the shaft off of the bolt plate.

Any suggestions?

TIA

The shaft will be threaded into the adaptor plate, this is a L.H. thread

Thought I would add the how to on this.

I had the rigid shaft.
I pulled the radiator off and the cowlings
I put a bunch of liquid wrench on the threads
Let it sit over night
Then cut the belt
Then made a strap wrench out of the belt.
Think twitch for a horse
image of one here - Rope Twitch in Twitches at Schneider Saddlery

used the twitch on the belt pulley to hold it from rolling over.

used an 18 inch pipe wrench and a 4 foot breaker bar.

Came right off

Total time to pull it all out excluding the overnight wait was about 4 hours using air wrenches.

When I put it back on, I put a spare belt over the shaft and wired it to the cowlings so nothing would touch it. Then if the new belt breaks I don't have to pull the thing down to replace the belt, I already have one on it.
