Mechron 2200 shifting problems

I put a new throttle cable installed on my 2200, didnt realize the old one was so bad. Shifting problems are almost gone, i even gained a couple of mphs!
The old cable must have been sticking more than once in a while

My Mechron 2200's cables have collected enough water to freeze until under-hood heat thaws them into 'workbility'. :laughing:

On my pedal bike similar water-gathering has led to replacing rusty-cored cables, if after decades. ('92 Murray 12-speed)

What we did for our MX bike cables in the '70s might be handy today, too. What I learned in college when taking automotive classes is that profit is proportional to proper diagnosis.

btw, that my Mechron 2200 has a roof and windshield IMO it's a 'cabbed' tractor (all weather) that makes my ~26hp Case-IH DX26 jealous except for its FEL.
