Mechanically-challenged tractor owner

My wife bought me the tractor many years ago while I was getting adjusted by a chiropractor for a strained back. It has made my life easier and cost the chiropractor much in lost fees. On occasions it has given me indications that I have not been able to interpret. I cannot find what I have done with the DVD that came in lieu of a manual, which is a challenge. I have joined this group in hopes that your wide, collective experience will be of help. Right now, when I turn the switch to start the glow plugs, all of the instrument lights flash together repeatedly. Any ideas?

Many thanks for your suggestions. I pulled the battery and had it tested, it was good. I cleaned the terminals and the lugs, reinstalled the battery and had momentary success, and then flashy,flashy. I put an ohmmeter across the + post and the lug - nada. Loosened the lug and twisted it until it seated hard, retightened the lug, and Success! I think the + lug is a little oversized and it is hard to tighten it with the nut so close to the lug. Probably time for a couple of washers.
