Massey 1529 fuel filter replacement

After7 years and only 300 hours, it is beyond time to replace my fuel filter. After installing do I need to bleed the system with the two indicated air bleeding bolts?
What is the recommended fuel filter change period?

YES.. get fuel coming out of the bolts & snug back up.. NOT super tight.. just enough to stop any leaks.
Once u start your tractor, hold the throttle at MID throttle for a few minutes.. you'll HEAR IT struggling & then clear up..
IF it dies on u, u can use the bleeder screw on the injection pump, by the name plate..
Its a double screw w/ a bleeder.. Loosen the 5/16 portion of the screw & spin the engine OR if it has an electric supply pump, just turn the key on & wait for fuel to come out.. NOW its bled.. Go ahead & restart it..
To be on the safe side.. change 2x a year.. The damage is already done tho, after 7 years.. so don't be surprised when your pump goes out or it starts to smoke..{prob. bad injectors}

Put in the new fuel filter. It took five minutes. Runs way better ,smoother, less black smoke on startup. Changing it every year from now on.

I am now at 7 years and 300 hours. 1st fuel filter replacement. Still having trouble trying to bleed the system. It strarts and runs fine for a couple of hours then starts losing power. MF 1529

I think u answered your problem in the 1st 2 sentences..??
Have u LOOKED INSIDE the tank.??
I think they have a filter SCREEN built onto the outlet/shut off tap.??
I would suggest pulling the hose off the bottom of the tank, run a separate hose into a 5-10 gallon bucket..
Look for debris and once it got low enough, unscrew the outlet/shut off tap..
And for goodness sake, CHANGE THAT FILTER 2x a year.!!!
