marking messages read

Hope you can help me, in the past when I read a message thread and went back to the form index page the blue number for un-read messages would disappear if I had read all the messages in the thread. Now that doesn't happen unless I leave the forum and go back to the general index, then come back to the forum. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm not sure if I did something myself to cause this or what happened. I know I didn't notice the change until after I had played around with my internet options in IE 6 because of another issue with saving pictures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it looks wrong, hit refresh (or F5).

Check to make sure on your Internet Options->Settings you have it selected to check for newer versions of pages on "every visit".

I appreciate the help, I tried changing from "automatic" to every visit on the page updates, but it didn't seem to help.

Hitting the refresh does work, but it wasn't required previously..... guess I'll keep searching.
