I need to change this marker light on the horse trailer and I can't find anything to lose these bolts. I have a couple screw driver sets with every bit under the sun and I tried hex wrenches both metric and SAE. Any thoughts on what fits these?

Never mind. I just found the bulbs to fit this so I don't need to remove it.

looks like a torx bit

If I remember right, these are Philips. Trailer manufacturers use these for assembly because the drivers are easy to center in them. Try a Philips #2. It's either Philips or square bits.

They are square drive (Robertson). They look like Torex, but are 8 sided. 2 squares 90 degrees off so the square drive fits in 2 different positions.

Never seen square drive with the holes 90 degrees off. That is the one driver I did not try.

Like Fallon says, use a square bit, a #2 if I remember correctly. I had to remove some screws for something on my enclosed trailer and this worked like a charm.

I ran into them on my Haulmark trailer replacing a side panel. They are called doublesquare and you can get 8 pt bits for them.
