I use Avast and I keep getting the following message on some of the threads I click on:

"The website at TractorByNet.com | Compact Tractors | John Deere, Kubota, New Holland contains elements from the site 4safe.in, which appears to host malware software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent."

Not sure if it's anything or not, but thought you might need to know.

Hmmmm! very curious as I received a Warning today about this site as well... But as far as I know the only thing that this site is permitted to do is upload cookies to your computer in order to have quicker loads each time you visit,..... Has anyone else had these experiences?

I have Norton Internet Security, which is really touchy about these things. never gotten a warning..not sure if that's good or bad?

If you are seeing stuff like that I would HIGHLY suggest that you go and install the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware.com ASAP as you probably have a virus or some nasty malware on your computer.
In my time on TBN I have only seen page elements from: Google Analytics, Google Ad Services, Google Syndication, Openx and Doubleclick. Nothing from 4safe.in (which is listed as a unsafe site by Google. As such, it is probbaly something on your computer redirecting "normal" traffic to a bad site.
I predict that you will find some nasties on your computer which are causing these errors.

Hello, I have not been on this site much for the last year or so. Yesterday or the day before I did post a reply regarding transmissions.

Now this morning an e-mail showed up with the following contained in it. The "member" shows 0 posts and I was just wondering if this is dangerous. I'm not computer knowledgeable and stay away from everything I don't understand. I did not open the website address. Any ideas?

It looks like someone sent you a private message (PM) which (by default) gets forwarded to your email address.

The PM from Eternity is spam. That same message has been flooding other forums as well. Also from the same user.

I just deleted all PMs sent by that user, as well as the user account.

Hopefully was able to trace it back to registration information and report it, although I'm sure was not given the correct info, Perhaps and X member being vindictive?

The spammers that register are automated bots that perform various tasks without much, or any human activity (register, confirm account, post message, send PM). Some are as innocent as posting links to "cheap air jordan sneakers" and others are more malicious (attempting to infect or send people to infectious sites).

We don't allow HTML in PMs or messages, so the ability to a spammer to cause harm is limited to when our users click on the links that they post. Obviously if the spammers are clever and disguise links as relevant or useful, it becomes more likely that some users will click on them.

When we become aware of spammers, we delete all PMs they sent, all messages they posted and delete the accounts they used. It's highly unlikely that any spammer uses a traceable IP address, since their activities are illegal in most countries.

And even if the IP address is traceable, it probably just leads back to a computer that was infected with some nasty bug and is now part of a botnet. rather than the owner of said botnet.
