Mahindra seats

Went to a local dealer and saw one of the tractors in the lot with seats split wide open due to sun. Then I went to the dealer where I'm getting mine and even though the lot was full, and the sun was beating down, there were no split vinyl seats.

Does anyone have problems with the seats cracking then tearing on theirs after sun exposure?

One of the reasons I bought my Cub Cadet lawn tractor was it had cloth-ish seats rather than the vinyl on the Deere which ALL split.

I don't want my new Mahindra to have splits in the seats, way too much money involved here to settle for that.

I have a 6 year old 16 series. Been outside the majority of its life. Seat has never split. Had the 6000 about a year and it's seat had split.

I had a 2615HST I bought new in 2004. After 6 years my seat had a couple tears from me getting in and out with tools in my pockets but no splits. I eventually bought a universal suspension seat and adapted it to fit the seat track. It was much more comfortable having suspension than a fixed seat.

Leave a seat in the sun and you will get a split unless you tilt it forward, and away from the sun. Better yet, park in a shed if possible. I've nine years on my 2615 and the seat looks great.

My 4110 is 10 yrs old. The seat is perfect The hinge on bottom of seat is rotted off. I guess exposing to weather , the back of seat, to protect the seat caused other problem. It's outside all summer and inside all winter.
