Kubota M59 TLB
I am ready to make this deal for a M59 TLB. Does the price sound fair? $53,900

M59 TLB with...
84" HD Bucket with bolt on cutting edge & quick coupler
Backhoe with hydraulic thumb & quick coupler
Top-N-Tilt
Rear Remote Valves
Three point hitch
Pre-cleaner
Tool Box

Thanks for your thoughts.

That is what I hear up here for pricing in the northeast, but others on this board say it is way too high. I have heard low balls of near $43K for a M59 from posters here, and at that price I would buy one. Good luck and let us all know what you do and how much it is in the end.

we paid 48k OTD for one just like you want less the pre filter and the Tilt Meter

we got it from Perrin Farm Equipment in Tifton GA.

Plus they gave us 29k for our used L48

I have three M59s in stock and would like to move two of them by Christmas so I am ready to deal a bit.

It's a nice tractor. I like ours. Some features do need some more thought by Kubota, but the bottom line is that I'd buy the same tractor again.
I won't comment about "fair", but that is more than most people paid for their M59. You are being quoted about 10% higher than the average price others paid when I bought mine a few months ago....and about 15% over the best deal I was offered locally. That was right before the current financial meltdown. As a serious buyer that you are in a good position right now. BTW, I did not take the lowest priced tractor - preferring a different dealer.

Sometimes it is harder for a dealer to lower price than to throw in some extras. You are going to want: more lights, a shop manual, some filters, the front acc. hydraulic outlets, maybe chains & a block heater. The Kubota Extended Warranty is definitely worth including in the price....it is a "must have". The quick attach (QA) bucket mounts give you the ability to quickly mount special buckets. You may want one. I use a rock bucket and LandPride's QA front three point hitch.

I don't have the hydro thumb, 3 point, tool box, or remote rear PTO valves installed on mine which would probably would have brought my cost up to $54K.

As posted before, I wasn't impressed with charging for options I think should come standard on a tractor this expensive.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I went ahead and put my order in for a new M59. I should be taking delivery in about two weeks. I will be sure and post pics as soon as the tractor arrives. Thanks again for all the great information I have received here.

Good on you. I'm sure you will enjoy it. BTW, have you been reading the M59 thread on the Kubota owning/operating forum? What add-ons did you decide to go with?

I wouldn't buy anything before checking with barlow equipment first to see what they can do for you. I purchased my L39 from them and got a great deal and a great experience. The hole transaction went smoother with a dealer 900 miles away than my first tractor purchase from my local dealer. I know others have good experience there as well.
