M4500 year manufactured

I just bought a Kubota M4500 with 2280 hrs and I'm trying to find the manufacturing year. The serial number is 10018. Can anybody point me to where I might be able to get this info? I have been to the usual websites with no luck. Does Kubota have a web site where I can get this info?

Not sure on a website but have you tried calling a dealer or kubota directly? They should be able to get you the info.

If a local dealer can't help, go to http://www.kubota.com/contactus/FAQ.aspx, select "What year was my Kubota manufactured?" and follow the link provided there.

Steve, I got a response yesterday, June 21st after sending an email On June 20th. Pretty quick response.
They told me the tractor was sold to the first owner in 1978 and they could not tell me when it was manufactured. I thought that was strange. They must not archive their production records.
