LS Tractor Backhoe operation

I have a LS tractor and bought a backhoe for it. My problem is that unless I have someone hold down the remote control lever on the left hand side of the tractor the backhoe wont work..... Is there some button I am missing that engages the operation?

The backhoe should have came with a latch or metal strap with a notch to hold the remote open. That is what my Bradco/Mahindra backhoe came with.

what model is your tractor and hoe? I know on my 5020 there is a lever to lock open one of my rear remotes. I am assuming this would be for back hoe operation or woodsplitter..etc..
