Silly stunt like that cost me new shaft/tube for my weed wacker.....I'm not about to pay the exorbitant prices for a chain saw scabbard when this is available. Just got to remember that it's there.

Looks good.I used an HDPE cutting board half inch thick for the scabbard section and 1/8" x 1.5" angle iron for the bolt on frame.
Not the perfect spot for a chainsaw but I use the ROPS for my small electric saw.that's great if you never use your grapple while your cutting.
No need to pay high prices for a scabbard either. I have made them out of wood and scrap metal. In fact I have never paid even $1 for the things I made them from.
