I'm thinking about buying a box blade this spring.I have been looking at the new LP MR15 blade with manual scarfer control. I dont have any experiance with a box scraper so i dont know how often you may need to readjust the scarfers. I can see where it could save some time if adjustment was needed. Lp makes the Hyd version too. I would consider this if i had a rear remote. I have not priced this model so it could be to pricey. I'm also looking at the LP BB2560. So whats your opion MR15 or BB2560.

That MR15 looks like a nice box. But it is a bit on the light side. I would like to see a 60" box in the 600# range. Light weight won't dig in hard soils as well as a heavier box. Still, it looks good.

After you check on those prices, check out the woods (gannon) products. It would be a good reference.

For reference, a quality box will run $1000 or more. I paid $1450 for a 66" Gannon with manual scar bar (different mechanism) 7 years ago. It's a lot of money, but the difference in operation is dramatic, the convenience of the flip down scar bar is VERY nice. Money is an important factor, but buying the wrong product cheaply isn't a bargain.
