Sorry for your loss, I know how lonely the house can feel, and the images that run through your mind. Hang in there and be happy you shared so many years with her, I am sure she was so happy to have found you!
I spent the wekend in the ER with our dog as well, he has epilepsy,and friday had one for 2 hours,his temp was 106 when we got him to the ER. make a long story short, we packed up and drove 3 hours to philly at left him at the PA state university hospital with neurologist. He's home now and recovering with a lot of meds.
Hang in there my friend, it takes time.
