I am afraid Mahindra has a weak dealer network. I bought a Mahindra from a JD Dealer. Original owner traded it in because it was too big for his application. One of the reasons I bought it was because we had a good dealer, also a New Holland dealer, 40 miles away. They had sold Mahindra's for 5+ years. After I took delivery, the New Holland dealer dropped Mahindra. Now my closest dealers are 70 to 100 miles away and are lawn mower dealers who sells Mahindra on the side. I fear I replaced an orphan with an orphan! Have put 200+ hours on the 5155 and couldn't be happier. Discovered the weak dealership network when trying to diagnose the 4 way light switch failure.

i wanted to say i love this thing when it works. but.... have had a few issues which just stop it from working. also the dealers or lack thereof is a major issue.
i have always spoke highly basically about my max25. but it has had some issues as i said. resolution is an issue and i am not as knowledgeable as most of you people which doesn;t help.

:)

BlackOps, I don't know if this might help but I have had excellent help from Dave's Tractor Inc. when needed.

My brother was shopping for his first tractor… he said there is Mahindra not far and the price is better… the outfit sells trailers and brought in tractors on the side… the shop repairs trailers…

I suggested Kubota L3800 and threw in my loyalty discount at the time… brother is happy with the L3800

sorry for the delays in replying - i struggled to sort out this problem and yes - maybe it was the problem a year-and-a-half ago too. Due to same symptoms. Not sure whay the old dealer and mechanic could not find and figure it out since i was pointing to the possible problem to begin with.

a number of years ago i replaced the solenoid for starting issues. the elctrical connection parts the way they have it leaves it susceptible to access to rain and moisture etc. and the hood and collar and back of dashboard hood does not seeal correctly for many reasons. sitting outside 24/7 and with intense storms etc., the connections were all waterlogged. i knew it could be the solenoid but seriously did not expect the connection to be so bad and the ultimate cuplrit. i did not go out to try it again today to get stuff done, so i probably should not be posting this without checking it today, but... I will be trying it again within the next couple of days due to weather stuff. so ----- hopefully that was it. he also did check various fuses and all oed ok.

i was told by the mechanic - key switch - so i bought one and put it in - no fix - so now i have the new one in and the old one in my shed. they he said maybe a starter relay or was it a glow plug relay - but by that time i said... uh huh - no way. so that is the tales of my max 25 starting issues over the years. damn nice machine for my needs when it works - but....slit my throat when it doesnt.

just a joke....
