Looking to upgrade

Hello all, I am happy to be part of your group.
I have a 1993 ford 2120/loader/ag tires
I would like to replace with a newer 40ish HP r4 tired tractor/loader
I use the tractor for maintaining my lake front home
Moving logs, racking, leveling, moving boats around you get the idea
I am looking for ideas on the best way to locate this newer tractor
Any suggestions

Doug,

You are probably looking at a John Deere 4120 or 4320, Kubota L3940 or L4240, Mahindra 4035 or 5035, Kioti DK40SE or DK45SE, Massey Ferguson MF 1643 or MF 1648, or a New Holland Boomer 3040 or 3045. I would not suggest purchasing any of the new New Holland Boomer 40 or 50 models. They are made by LS Tractor and you could most likely buy the same tractor with more standard features from a LS dealer. The New Boomer 40 and 50 models are known as the Rio R41 or R47 in the LS tractor line. I am not fond of the LS tractors myself, but others fine them very good and dependable. Just my two cents.

Newer tractor? So you're looking for a used tractor with FEL in the 40 hp (pto) range.

What's your budget?

Best way to locate it? Start at the local dealer's lot, then craigslist, then eBay. I've bought 5 used tractors so far off craigslist with no problems.
