Well I can sure you that I know next to nothing about an injector pump. And you have a wonderful trade as well as a respected trade. It wasn’t anyone replying to the posted and I simply told him the best I knew. Sometimes if you just get someone back at it they fix it. I have a vintage d2 cat dozer that has sand interesting pump and rack system on it. The governor is mounted to the pump, so I wonder what triggers it. At my age I still thrive to work on this stuffI rebuild them.. the gov is only half the problem..
It’s likely the rack is stuck wide open possibly from a stuck plunger..
It’s really nothing to fool with. It’ll end up costing more money if u monkey with it..
It takes me HOURS to clean one up.. I’ve spent as much as 4 hours, just cleaning up the governor..and associated parts.
