I've been plowing snow for 10 years now with my little B7500. I have an old 54 inch Case blade that I modified for use on my loader, in place of the bucket. Like many of you here on TBN I have that problem with front end stability/steering when plowing deeper snow with the blade angled. And, of course, this year has probably been the worst for that problem. So I've finally decided to add some weight to the front of the tractor to minimize this issue. I've made enough modifications to my tractor that getting this weight put on is not a problem. But the real problem I have is trying to figure out how much weight do I realistically need to keep me on the straight and narrow. I'd like to think others have done this and can "weigh in" on this subject.

This is a subjective thing and depends on traction issues. If the snow is heavy and wet but still with traction weight is really helpful.

When I plowed it I started with five of the seven front weights that would have been the max. Then I went up to the seven but found out I did better with the five weights. The seven worked well but I just liked the five better.
