Ha, I was just window shopping on the JD website at the 3000 series tractors and decided to watch the video.

Instead of watching the tractor, I spent most of the time watching the driver.

Saw two at a local home show. No numbers on the side to tell what series it was. Did have a 300 series loader and a fancy step plate to help one into the operators seat. Looked like a 4100 series on steroids. Did the video have a new R-4 tire design or was I looking at a tire lug in motion that seemed more curved ?
In the video they hook up a front mounted blade without getting off the seat. Is there a gremlin that hooks up the hydraulic hoses ? Also attach a MMM from the seat. How does the pto shaft find home?
It seems everytime I visit the dealer I attract a sales person with little or no product knowledge. He resorts to the literature for answers. One would think they would know every nut, bolt, and function if there task was sales in this area.... or am I asking too much ?
I see they went to a three speed hydro. Kubota was making quite a sales pitch on this issue and I think they are right. Checked the video again and in one segment they appear to have a new thread design for loader work.
Looks like a well engineered piece. Wonder if the price is earth shattering.

lol. I've done the same thing. The 2X20 video is interesting too.

Just remember...the tractor may cost more in one shot up front, but over the course of the first few years the driver (or one like it) will be WAYYYYYYYYYYY more expensive and require much more maintenance... And you guys thought a pail of Hydro Oil was expensive...
:D

SWMBO better not see this thread or I'm a dead man..ROFL!

I like the way the operator in the 2520 video stomps on the 4WD selector lever to engage it when the tractor starts slipping....specifically NOT the recommended method in the manual.

The 4WD selector lever...or did you mean the positraction ??

"The 4WD selector lever...or did you mean the positraction ??"

I mean the 4WD selector. At exactly 2:59 in the video, she kicks the 4WD lever down with her heel. This is verbotten by the manual. I'm sure it probably doesn't really hurt anything, but they still say not to do it.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys; but she's taken. Did you see the doorknob she had on her left ring finger? I wonder if she wears the ring when mucking out the barn.
