Long term drought for Texas- :-(

*groans* you can have some of this rain. what i thought was a good fix on basement to dewater it. is now starting to show signs of trouble of water coming in the basement. been a non stop almost sprinkle to heavy rains last couple weeks. hopefully another good storm will finish things off, so farmers around here can start getting crops in. but if no large weather fronts nock things off tracks. it may be yet another very wet season and late planting of crops

Whooo boy, biggest rain of the year for which we are thankful. The rain started about 7:20 a.m. yesterday, maybe .15" and quit. Then a fresh wave of rain and hail arrived a little before 11 a.m. but the hail was small stuff; just noisy. By 1:00 p.m. I had about .3" in my gauge and only mist still in the air. Then about 6:45 p.m. another round of rain and dime sized hail arrived. I awoke to lots of thunder and lightning at 4 a.m. this morning and we're still getting a very light rain; over 2" more in the gauge now. Getting close to 2.5" in the last 24 hours, even have some puddles in the yard.:cool2:

You guy's got that right!! We really needed a soaking like this.

We had some Dime size hail last night about 2am, other than that just good rain.

I'm right at the edge of it, and not getting very much. Lots of thunder last night,but only half an inch in my rain gauge. Today it's off and on, but nothing heavy or measurable. My plants are loving it, but it's not what I want or need for Lake Marabou.

Sorry to hear that, Mike. I think it's all over here and I went out and emptied my rain gauge. Looks like about 2.95" for yesterday, last night, and today.

Eddie, maybe you'll still get more rain today; hope so anyway.

We've had a little over a .5 inch since about 4:00 this morning. Raining slow and steady now and zero wind. Maybe it will hang around for a while. A soaking rain like this is exactly what we need.

All that's happening is a mist.... insufficient to even have any runoff on the highway/pavement.

Glad y'all got some...still sitting at zero effective moisture.
