Try this site. I use their three point splitter on my L3430 and it works fine.

Just called TSC and confirmed.......they are a Speeco log splitter for 3pt hitch. $645.62 and can take a log 26" in length.

I just bought a 3ph log splitter on E-Bay. But I built a place to put a 6.5 hp motor and reservoir because I don't have a tractor. I got it this way cause it was cheaper than buying one built already. I also had to buy a pump but still the total cost was under $600.
Take a look at the one on e-bay. It may be just what you're looking for.

Hey Jeff I purchased an American CLS splitter and decided to go with the stand alone splitter and not the 3 pt hitch model.
My Kubota dealer had both spitters there and the one thing I liked about the stand alone was the 13" tires which put the postion of the area where the logs goes higher than where it would be with the 3 pt hitch model.
I guess it all depends upon how much wood you are spittng, but I decided it was easier for me to pull the splitter out to the wood pile, leave it there and do the splitting. I can also move it around with the my 4 wheeler and do not have the tractor tied up.
Have had it for two years now and not a single problem I do about 12 cord a year so it is sitting more than it is used.
(I do have a 8 pound splitting maul for sale, cheap, if you decided not to buy a splitter) Haven't used it since I purchased the American. I don't care if I only have one or two pieces that need splitting I will use the splitter.

Northern Tool has a 3 pt for $500 + frt. My brother and I both bought one and have had no problems. I run mine off of the rear hydraulic ports on my RTV900 or my JD 4710. The latter gives me faster cycle times but with the RTV I can split the wood and throw it straight into the dump bed.
This setup does not provide the quickest cycle times but you have plenty of power, there is essentially nothing to maintain, and the cycle times are acceptable to me. It's all good!

I have a log splitter that ran off of the front loader hydraulics of a BX2230, I sold the 2230 and got a B7800 in April. I got the splitter from TSC in Follansbee WVa. It's a Huskee, and it works like a charm. Elm, oak, locust, and cherry, it eats 'em up. I does hook to the 3 pt. hitch. With the 2230, it cycled kinda slow due to the low pump output, it cycles a little quicker with the B7800. I think that a BX 24 is about the same size as a 2230, and the legs on my splitter drug on the ground sometimes if the surface was uneven with the 2230, but not so with the B7800. I had to have the 2 hoses made up to go from the splitter to the tractor which ran about 80.00, but well worth it.
Anyway, Huskee makes them, your tractor will run them, and it was money well spent. Good luck.

I know I need to decide quickly since I have a lot of wood to split!

What cycle time do you get and what's the flow rate and pressure from the RTV and the JD?

My vote goes for a stand alone. We used to borrow a friend's stand alone for years. It was great because I parked our tractor perpendicular to the splitter with the FEL right there to my side. I split and stacked the pieces in the FEL immediately. One less handling. Very convenient. It was great. Had the need been there, I would have purchased a stand alone for this convenience.
