I got my tractor stuck the other day. It was getting late so i left it. My neighbor trying to be nice pulled it out by attaching a chain to the bucket. The curl and tilt work fine but the loader will not go up or down at all. The rod that comes out of the valve will not move at all, almost like its jammed up or in a bind in the valve. Is the valve messed up or a lift cylinder? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused::confused:

Post this in the hydraulic section and maybe KennyD or Wayne will be on. Hope you get it fixed without costing an arm and a leg.

G'day try cracking the lines at the valve that come up from the lift rams you may have somehow hydraulic locked the valve if that does'nt work you may have managed to bend the spool in the valve somehow depending on how tight it is you may be able to use a hammer and drift to remove the spool but you have to be careful not to damage the bore ( easier said than done when the spool is bent:eek:) if you do get it out have a good look at bore with a strong light if you do not see any score marks you are prob safe to put a NEW spool in best of luck otherwise you are up for a new valve:(

The rod in the cylinder might be bent.

So you're saying it's the valve "joystick that's stuck, right?
Try switching the hoses that operate the curl/dump to the lift/lower cylinders. Then you can test to see if the cylinders for raise/lower are OK by using the dump/curl on the joystick valve. If so, the joystick itself is stuck. I know my Koyker loader valve (It's an Olfe valve I think) has a feature to lock down the joystick so it doesn't move. Maybe yours slipped into "lock"?
