Does anyone apply liquid urea to their pasture? It's mainly bermuda forage in my pasture. What are your typical dilution and application rates? I'm getting ready to pull some soil samples to have tested for fertilizer application guidelines for the coming year. I usually make my first fertilizer application using granular to get the P, K and micronutrients. But I'd like to try a 2nd and maybe 3rd N application during the growing season and there are some big savings with urea.

I've used liquid urea before, following some on-line application guidelines, but I still had leaf burning.

You might try contacting your County Agriculture Extension Office for some answers. Here's a link to the Texas Dept. of Ag. showing a list of offices by Counties: County Offices Archive - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service

Here in Ohio, OSU's County offices have been very helpful to me on any type of question I may have from pasture management to gardening.

I've used liq urea before on bermuda. Mine was a 32%N, 68% H2O from the container. I then diluted it in the following ratio: 1 gal of 32% solution to 20 gal of water.

I may have diluted it too much, as I didn't see a huge growth/greening spurt. Saw some, but not as much as I had hoped.

Hope that helps.
