Loader specs for the BL10 says that lift capacity is 1550# at full lift. I could only lift 14 80# bags of concrete on a 20# pallet (with a set of factory forks) 3'-6". Does this seem right? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

So are you saying that you actually lifted 1500#?? But couldn't lift 1550. Seems close enough to me. Personally, I wouldn't worry. Specs are probably up or down a little from what any one unit can actually do.

OH! Didn't notice the space. So you lifted 1140#. Off by 360#. Interesting question.

Look at the specs it will say at the piviot pins.
Buy adding the 350lbs? factory forks and subtracting the difference between the lifting point in which the loade got it rating from I would say you are doing better than the rating.
Anytime you put fork on a loader take atleast 20% off of the lifting capacity.

Mudcat, it makes me wonder if you rotated the up such that the weight is now primarily on the pivot and not on the forks, you might be able to lift it higher.

It sounds about right. Lift capacity is at the pivot pins, going out a couple feet makes a huge difference. It's that leverage thing working against us. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks guys for the input. I totally missed "rated at pivot pins". It makes more sense now.
