3510i will not speed up

branson 3510i will not speed up. i checked the lift pump, even put in a new lift pump tho the pressure seems to be 3-4psi, should i expect more ? the tractor starts right up never fails,but will only run at a minimum speed, the throtel cable is ok i can see it opening and returning , tractor speeds up just a few rpm, since the tractor starts right up and runs every time i would think the fuel injector system is ok. not sure what the butterfly does, does it or is it suppose to open a needle valve, if so is there a plug i can take off to check for debre ? thanks craig..... on going used the tractor to move tree limbs around at idol speed. engine still running at idol not missing or smoking. do not really want to pull the injector pump unless someone says that is the problem. connot believe no one knows what pressure should come from the lift pump. thanks craig

particle filter was the first thing i changed out i also put in a gauge to see what the pressure was, reading about 3 psi. the cable is moving the butterfly, still the engine goes from very slow idol to a little faster idol, but still it will not go past an idol.looks like i am going to half to pull the injector pump off to see what is going on unlesws you have another thing to check for , thanks craig

well it was my understanding the fuel feed pumps, or fuel lift pumps are supposed to operate at a 4-7 psi range, but i would think even at 3-4psi it would still operate at higher rpms than what you are seeing even being a slightly lower psi pump.

has it had any smoking on start up at all any black, blue, or white smoke?

it could be you have an issue with the injection pump, but i agree with you that it would have more issues starting as well. it could be you have a bad or weak spraying injector but that would also be pretty noticeable as well on start up and even while running.( you can pull them and use a POP tester to check their spray patterns

as for dpf being clogged i don't think that model even came with an emissions system unless that was made after 2014, but tbh i dont rightly remember what years that model ran through.

i added two pages about the spray patterns for the injectors hopefully this will help.

tractor gives a little puf of smoke, today ran the tractor at minimum speed trying to lift some gravel around. ran for about an hour no problems at minimum speed. it just seems like the throttel is not speeding up. guess i need to pull the injector pump off to see if there is something going on inside the pump.
