No it was off from day one. It actually could be about 1 1/2 longer. I read somewhere"dont know where now" that there was a short rod and a long rod. I may just add to it with some 1/2 round stock.

What did your dealer say? Maybe the wrong rod was installed, and they could get you the right one?

I don't know how flat your land is, but I'm on a bunch of hills. I find that level is never quite right no matter what you do. I find the Leveling Rod is good to get me close, but if I'm doing anything that requires a fine adjustment, then I have to do it by sight.

I think if I were going to add rod, I would add a lot more and then cut a groove/paint bright color at level. This would show level and still have some rod sticking out so that you would have an indication of how much tilt you have past level. Cut off the rod at some point in dump cycle at which you no longer care how much tilt you have.
This would be good to know how much tilt you have past level rather than bringing it all the way till you see the rod come out, then lower it back a bit for digging. You could customize the rod to show best angle for digging by adding another groove.
