Leveling a FEL

3RRL: Thanks for your thoughts (and the time you spent). I thought about using only one shim, but then the pillars are not parallel, and they start to bind on the subframe assembly (uprights). I think the final answer will be playing around with the thickness of the shimsets. As long as the dealer is aware of the problem and is willing to fuss with it, I'm going to leave it in their able hands. Its frustrating work, because every time you make an adjustment you have to take all of 12 of the bolts out and then put them back in torqued to specification. You can't predict exactly how each shim change will affect the tilt. Therefore lots of trial and error. (Just to let you know the dealer's repairman spent the better part of 2.5 hours working on it last week.) Glad it's under warrantee, but there should be an easier fix, I'm thinking.
