Where would you mount your trailer hitch on a rollover?;)
I'd like to see how folks have reinforced a regular 550lb 6' box blade as it seems I missed my chance at a 7' hyd. gannon box blade of doom...:(

You can see the hitch on mine.

Yes! Now that's what I'm talking about. A Box blade that is twice as useful.

Ok now everyone please pardon my extreme ignorance, but: What is the difference or advantage of a "rollover" box blade? Do they allow the scraped material to overflow the back of the box? I can see that they generally allow for quick engagement or removal of the scarifiers, so that feature looks handy.

But in your case hydro, doesn't your trailer hitch get sent into the ground when you try to engage the scarifiers?

Here is what I did to add weight not fancy but its 350# extra in a small area its a harmonic balancer off a big natural gas compressor engine.

Man, Car Doc, I like that enginuity...how many times have I walked past something like that without a good use??? I just enjoy seeing some of these photos. I have got to get literate and post a few of my own here. I do have a camera with a memory card..

A great mod I made about 9 yr ago, was mounting 1 scarifyer on the end of my box blade plate with 2 bolts and adjustable height. Perfect for putting low voltage electric lines in and small PVC water feed lines to the goldfish pond used for filling after water evaporation. I almost forgot, I ran a Cat 5 Internet cable 300 ft about the same time with this setup and worked perfectly. Working depth was 2-6 inches. You can also do this mod on the side plate of your front loader bucket. Ken Sweet

Pics ? I have about 700' I need to run 18/2 wire.

Sorry, no pics. I take so many pics of machines during the day. I won't hardly touch a camera on the weekends. "Camera Burnout" LOL. Ken Sweet

I realize I am sticking my nose in here sorry guys. Jamming have you checked agri-supply part #73622 its a pipe layer attachment that bolts on a middle buster (#73410 but I imagine will fit anything you fit it too) w/a 2" cutter rather than the 14" plow blade relatively inexpensive.

Car Doc, What gets me is I had a shot at two fly-wheels off a dual air compressor. They were heavy machined steel. We discarded them into the metal recycle bin as they would fit any of our newer stuff???I could have had duals simular to yours and my box-blade would not have bounced as bad...next time?

Looks good, I guess you have to take the hitch out to scarify. I also like the rack on top.

Thank you.

Thank you. I remove it if I am using scarcities.

Heres a few pics of a work in progress box ish blade . The ratchet rake is adj/reversible /removable inside the "box" it is 72"wide . The draw bar was from a old dozer .I wanted a drag that kinda floated on the surface to level and rip roots out too.The pictures show it upside down.
Here is also a pic of my chain saw scabard .It is a piece of Alum. tube lined with rubber that I mounted to the loader frame/ gun mount . This worked really well for me as I can still get on & off from either side.

Nice way of adding a substantial weight. I'm going to go look for something similar in a weight.

I currently hang about 250lbs of suitcase weights on my BB....but more ballast is needed for FEL work. Even with loaded tires and the 550# BB....I can get a rear tractor wheel off the ground at times.

Another 300+ lbs "out back" would sure help me out. It's either this, or, I'm going to have to find / make a ballast box. Your weight idea is likely a lower cost alternative and I have the BB in place for other needs.

These are all custom, 1st is my boxblade with 150lb elevator weights on each side so 300 extra pounds on that, 2nd picture is me ballast "bucket" that I made from an old bucket filled with rock and sand then capped with concrete, and 3rd picture is my new recent build is a landplane which does such a great job for leveling
