leather jackets

Does anybody have a recommendation on killing the leather jacket larvae? couple weeks ago I saw them on my driveway and couldnt figure out what they were till I saw an newspaper article on identifying them. They are dirty gray wormlike and stinks when smooshing them flat.

A quick google search says to use "QUALI-PRO IMIDACLOPRID 0.5 GRANULAR INSECTICIDE". I'm thinking that "Quali-Pro" is a brand name, but maybe you find the Imidacloprid in your local garden store. Apparently it's the same stuff that's in K9 Advantix.

I did a google seearch as well, but most of links seems to be from overseas, nothing local. I just found that a bit odd which is why I asked.

Could be that what was commonly used is no longer available due to gov't EPA regs. I happened to remember we used to use diazinon crystals when planting kidney beans, but I find where even that has been banned.
