last thread page first

Hello, I didn't know where else to post this.
When I click on a single page thread I get taken to page 1, post 1. But when the page I click on is a multipage thread I get taken to the last page and either mid page or end -of-page. WHY??? I would expect to be taken to page 1,post 1 reguardless of how many pages are in the thread.
This problem is only on this forum. It has been going on for weeks. I am not very computer savvy, so please keep it simple.

THANK YOU, I've noticed this as well. Its extremely annoying.

It takes you to the first unread post in the thread, based on your cookies. Imagine how annoying it would be to always start on the first post of a thread that has over a hundred pages and is piling up three a day or so, trying to find your place.

Where are cookies stored and more to the point , how do you change them?
I like to start at the beginning of a thread so I know what the problem is so the answers make sense. There are few threads more than 10 pages long, when dealing with specific problems

The simplest way is to click on the 1 under the thread title, that will take you to page 1.
