Tractor
Kubota L3301HST
I'm buying a new Kubota and in the deal I'm including a box scraper and land rake; since it's been about a week and a half since we got the deal set I called them to see if it was ready. The dealer said the tractor is ready to go but we are waiting on the 2 implements to arrive to complete the financing paperwork. Wondering if anyone has any idea on what the current lead times are for that stuff during these covid times. They were going to look into ways to finish the deal or estimate when the implements would be in and call me back but I missed their call back and they're closed today, so I cant just ask them until Monday.

Any insight would be great. I figure worst case scenario I'll settle on a different implement they have in stock to get the full $700 rebate and pick up the other stuff when they arrive or used.

Thanks

No idea on CV-19 delivery times. If the scraper & rake are what you really need - just wait. Maybe I just don't understand your situation and the implements - ??

You likely got a MUCH better price on the implements, buying as a package.
If you get a refund, you could pay twice the price for them elsewhere.

No situation, I’m just impatient. I have loader work and plowing I can be doing around the property while waiting for the implements to arrive. If it’s going to be several weeks before they arrive I’d rather not wait as I have some used plows I picked up cheap ready to get to work.

If they honor the price quoted in the deal it won’t make any difference to me.

I've been waiting close to three months for a box blade. I may see it next week.

This is my concern. I am buying the tractor to do work; it does me no good sitting at the dealer waiting on an implement that is in stock at my local TSC, granted not equivalent quality. So I guess I’ll have to see what the dealer says and go from there. I can always go with a brush hog or something.

The NEW buzz word. The NEW NORMAL.Everything is seems lately has 2-4 month wait time.To many people sitting on the couch that don't want to work and collect a government check.

Talking to my dealer, the problem they have started with Covid and shipping delay, but was compounded because everyone had time on their hands and a check from the government. They sold out their inventory and other dealers did also. It was good thing for the dealers and it is nice to see a lot of people getting into gardening, landscaping, etc.

Because demand has been high for implements, especially home owner/hobby farmer size, there isn't many left to be had. Manufactures are working to get the supplies back up, but my guess is that most manufactures aren't going to increase production capacity due to this temporary bump in demand. So, that leaves us waiting for product.

My guess is that in the coming years we will see a large influx of lightly used implements that may be able to be had for a good price. Yet for now, patience is a virtue.

Kubota tractors ship from Kubota plants in Georgia.

Kubota owned Land Pride implements are manufactured in Kansas. If you are distant from Kansas uncertain transportation compounds uncertainty of Land Pride delivery forecasts.

TSC/Tarter implements are manufactured in Kentucky.

When you revise your T-B-N PROFILE to show your new L3301, I suggest you add your LOCATION at the same time. Your location is germane to this post and most others.

I took delivery of the tractor the last week of June. I would of liked everything at once but I have gotten a lot of other things done without the boxblade.

I took a road trip for 3 weeks out west recently. I tend to avoid the interstates but hit a good chunk on the way home and the truck traffic seemed higher than normal. I could see something coming from overseas taking longer but even the implement i just ordered claims 7-10 business days and I'm almost there with no shipping notification yet. They didn't have a problem charging my CC though. Like was said i think some people would rather sit on the couch and collect a check.

I'm retired and it seems silly calling it a vacation so I say road trip

I just ordered an 8' scrape blade and it arrived in just under two weeks.

I drive past two large jd dealerships on my way to my farm each weekend, They normally have 2 to 3 dozen tractors on their lots along with rows of implements. They each had maybe 5 or six tractors and very few implements. My local ls dealer has hardly any either.

Gallows did you pay cash or finance?

I'll give the dealer a ring in the morning and see what they say as far as delivery times. Maybe they have the next model higher sitting in stock or maybe we switch out both implements for something different, they do have a bunch of brush hogs but I was hoping to score one of those used for cheap. I'd rather not wait months to get this tractor if I don't have to. As someone who averages 50-60 hours a week working I have limited time to get stuff done around the house, and I'm on vacation this week so it would be perfect to knock out a few projects. Some of which I can do with the used implements I picked up and the loader, and other I need the box blade for.

Just to update after talking to the dealer this morning he echoed what gallows was saying. Looking like several weeks to get the blade in and was given the option to either go with a 60” 72” or step up to the bb15 in 66”. I decided to spend a little more money and go with the bb1566 and was able to pick the tractor up tonight. Drove the 20 mile trip and she’s ready to work, very excited.

Seems COVID has really taken a toll on supply lines for everyone.

Ordered five different Land Pride attachments with a new Kubota two weeks ago. Dealer is saying they should all be in by end of September

It also depends how the implements are ordered. Truckload orders can take longer to fulfill but are less costly. LTL ships as soon as the order is available to ship but costs the dealer more. I suspect some dealers do not make many LTL orders.
