Buying Advice Landini Mistral

Hi,
Iｴm looking for a new compact tractor (45HP). I thought that I select something from the Korean production - Kioti/Branson/TYM. However my friend bought a new tractor Landini a year ago. He recommend me Landini Mistral 45. Model Mistral is almost identical to Valpadana VP1500 and it use Yanmar engine. Do you think that this is a good buy?

Excuse my English, I' m not from US but from Czech.

What are you using the tractor for? The Mistral is still made by Landinin for sale in Italy. It has a lot of features in a small tractor. I had a Mistral America and it was a good tractor for its size. I also had a Kioti and it too was a good tractor. The Yanmar engine is very good and fuel efficient. The tractor is very maneuverable. You can find videos on Youtube.

Mainly mowing meadow (using drum rotary mover) and pulling trailer (firewood). I would like to buy a log splitter later.

Dealer of LS is too far away from my home. LS enter the Czech market recently, i think one or two year ago. Service network is poor yet. (as well Branson)

In Canada most of the Landini's are made by LS, however it looks like charleyfarmall has a pretty good information on the specific model you are asking about.

Not any more, they were importing the proper Landini european compact models, then replaced all the small machines with LS but with NH picking up LS, Landini is now selling Kioti's as their small tractors. They still sell the european machines in the Rex line and the farm/ag sized tractors.

Landini has sold a lot of Mistral's in the european market at vineyard and orchard tractors. They really are a very nice little tractor. The Mistral was one of the first compact utility tractors with a cab. The heat and A/C work very well.

Sometimes I regret selling mine but the person I sold it to also loves it and my needs changed. There are other pictures of it in the photos section under other tractors.

There are a lot of options. I had a 12x12 synchronized shuttle transmission but HST and 16x16 ( creeper) are options. You can also get it with a front 3pt hitch and pto.

Thanks for information. I'd like model without cab. However I think that McCormik X10 and Landini Mistral are not so similar (at least in EU). McCormik use Daedong engine and offer HST, rear PTO 540 rpm. Landini use Yanmar engine, rear PTO 540/750 rpm and doesn't offer HST. I think, that Mistral and X10 are completely different concept.

There is a change over going on, they were both the same with the Yanmar engine but in north america are both transitioning to the Daedong model. I'm told you can still order the european models with the Yanmar but I'm not convinced.
