LA145 having troubles starting

Had my LA145 worked on a couple of times for it not starting. Try to start it at least weekly. But does not go easily. I have tried starter fluid and it will start, but immediately it dies. Kind of at a loss what to do. Don't want to take it back into the shop!! Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated!!

The choke is out of adjustment. Either adjust cable or bend linkage to get it to full choke.
