Rat - JCB makes some top-notch well-designed equipment, so it only makes sense that they put XM27 tires on it. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I didn't know that, though, and I'm happy to hear it. I briefly considered getting the smallest wheel loader they make when I got my L4310HST. I don't remember what was wrong with it now. It might have been something as drastic as not having a 3-point hitch - I looked at so many different pieces of equipment from so many manufacturers that I just don't remember.

Rich - I'm sorry about the metal work on your brand new tractor. If it's any consolation, the tires are worth it. Also by way of consolation, Kubota II orange paint works well and matches perfectly. Check out the pics of my console for proof! And yet again by way of consolation, this is probably not the last time you're going to be welding on that tractor, and it does get a lot easier each time...

Here is a question for both Mark and Rich--Did the Mich tires on the rear only cause any problem with the stock fronts? Thanks

Mark no worries. I would suspect that you are right, it will likely get re molded once agian. I have a freind with a dig. camera, I will try and get some pitc. posted if I can get a grip on how-to do it??? can't be to hard? It sure is neat to be able to do that now, we just all need camers now/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I went and looked at it today, sure im glad I didn't and try and do it, dodge a big bullit. Pick it up tomaroww, and get rear tires mounted, then I will be done for a while and get to get some work done. Got top-n-tilt cyl. $300.00 for both, no hoses.

Gordon- I never ran it in 4 wheel dr. with a mis-match set, all mich or all r-4. I think you would have troulbe, I think Mark got diff. fronts to go with the mich. on the rear. The front mich. are about 2-2.5" taller than the r-4. If I get the camera I will post a pitc. of then side by side fro your viewing!

Gordon - Yes, switching only the rears to Michelin XM27 19.5LR24's would cause major problems. You'd have a huge lag situation - a definite no-no. You might could go with a different size XM27 tire, though. I can check the book if you need to know.
