HOLD ON!!!!! I just spoke with tractorsmart, and the $125.11 part number only includes ONE stabilizer bar (even though the part book description shows quantity "2"). It's not worth $250 plus shipping for me, so I will continue to use the turnbuckles!!!!

That doesn't sound right. I am changing from the turnbuckle style to the telescoping arms on my B7610. I got the kit for about $130.00 from tractorsmart (that included both stabilizers). I dealt with Ronnie and he was very helpful. Doesn't seem like the ones for an L series would be twice as much.

WOW! I looked into getting the kit about a year ago and I was sure it was right around $130. Did you ask them if you would need wheel spacers to use the telescopic stabilizers?

UPDATE:

Ronnie at tractorsmart referred me to another number (Kubota dealer), but anyway I was able to order the "kit" from them for $160 plus shipping... the kit part number is L8430. It seems that "parts" ie. Ronnie, is different from "kits" ie. Fred at the second number. Kind of like ordering a car with a certain option, or adding it after the fact... the "parts" to add it later always costs more than the original option (kit in this case). At any rate, I was told that the kit price was $149, but the price had just increased to $160.

I did not think to ask if wheel spacers would be needed with the R4's, but looking at the current setup, I don't see where it would require any more clearance than the existing turnbuckle arrangement does.... I will keep you posted.

By the way... folks at tractorsmart are very helpful and pleasant to deal with... I would highly recommend them...

If you could, would you take picture of your new arms when you get them installed? Hooked up to an implement would be great. I'm just curious how much room you will have between the tires and stabilizer arms. I know with mine, if I hooked up to a 26" implement, I only had about .75" between the tires and turnbuckles. That's why I got the spacers. I may have to spring for the telescopic stabilizers if they fit OK on yours. Thanks.

Let's have it Westbrooklawn. What's the outcome? How did the stabilizers fit?

Finally got them installed... very easy. I am very satisfied with the conversion. I was concerned that they might not clear my BH80-X subframe, but that was no problem. The tire clearance is about 1" on each side, but that is about the same as it was with the turnbuckle arms... I just think that is an issue you need to live with when using R4's on this tractor.
