In the local classifieds today there is a Kubota l225 for sale don't know any details yet, going to call them soon.
I have searched TBN and found not only l225 but also l2250 my question is are these the same model or what is the difference?
The ad doesn't mention 4wd but the tractor, bushhog, rear blade, and a utility trailer for $5300. Curious too about the price, granted I haven't even seen it.

Hi! Just wondering what you have found out, if anything yet? We are interested in a L225 as well, and don't know anything about their history, how easy is it to get parts for, what it's reputation is, etc. I Know it is 4 wd, 3 cylinder, 24.9 PTO, and has 1090 hours, and they want $3995 for it.
Could you share any info you may have come across on yours? Thank you! JH /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

OK

I don't know anything about the L225 but it sounds just like the L2250. This tractor could be 15-20 years old.

The L-2050 thru L-3850 tractors were very well made for their time. My Neighbor has put over 4000 hours on an L 2850. He is the most terrifying operator imaginable. This man when asked how to tell if a dump truck is overloaded says " simple the wheels won't move". I have seen him hammer that 2850 harder than I would ever work my JD 4700. He gets alot out of the old girl too.

He recently like last year had the engine rebuilt. But yeah the older L's have a great rep as far as I am concerned. His is a sync shuttle so not very convenient but maybe the one your after has a hydro. I would not be a bit concerende about buying and older Kubota. They have any part you need and the tractors are so plentiful that used parts are out there too.

Anyway I hope this helsps, but of course you must have a competent mechanic look it over.

The hours seem low to me.

Good luck.

The Kubota L225F (2WD) went into production in 1973, the L225DT (4WD) went into production in 1974. I think the hp was 24 engine and 20 PTO. Hope this helps.
