L119 john deere

Hello All. Hoping someone can help. Just bought a John Deere L119 $100. The previous owner said it needs a tranny but it only has 300 hrs on it. He said it gets hot after running for a bit and starts bogging down. I drove it about 75yards with no problem. Can anyone give me an idea how to diagnose or troubleshoot my problem or point me to where I can get tranny parts cheep. Thanks, Brian

:welcome: to TBN! I think you will be referring to an L118. I also have one, it has 360 hours but still going strong. :thumbsup: With yours, it will go fine when it is cool, but when you run it a lot and it starts to warm up it will get slower and slower. The thread mentioned above will have the full story on it and its issues.
