Humidity is never a problem here. Our skies are almost too clear. Even if we do have a downpour the ground can dry out and be dust again in a day or two. In summer, autumn or spring you can cross this state from top to bottom or east to west without ever crossing water, and this state is over a million square kilometers. (Texas is 'only' about 700,000). We only have one river that contains water all year round, and even that would be dry now if it didnt have half a dozen weirs across it.
Sometimes I look at maps of the US and can't believe how many rivers and lakes you have - even in the middle of the continent! I'm very envious.
