Kubota M4500DT block heater location?

I just realized there's a separate section for Kubota issues. Sorry about the double post.

In order to avoid pulling out a frost plug, I was just sold a threaded block heater (part 700000-17550) by my Kubota Dealership. It's maybe 3/4" that is supposed to be installed (acccording to them) at the front right of the block. "You should see a plug that you can just unscrew and screw the heater in" . Not so. After removing most of the tin, looking over engine diagrams and returning to the dealership w/ photos I'm still at a loss. Bottom line is nobody related to Kubota can tell me where this goes even though they're ALL Positive that it's the right part for the job. Any help would be great.

When I installed a Block heater in the L4400 I had to remove a frost plug and drive in a plug that has threads and then threaded in the heater.

my advice: take the heater and sell it on ebay. You don't need the heater. the glow plugs will keep you starting any weather. -20 F doesn't matter it'll start, maybe 7 seconds of glow plug time, turn the key the other way and you'll be off and running. I've never used my heater in 4 years, northern vermont. L-4400

Maybe I don't need it. I've had the tractor for several years and it has (almost) always started. Isn't it better for/easier on the engine if it's a bit warmed up though?

When its really cold I always heat the engine up a bit before starting. I know for a fact it cant hurt.
