Kubota BX22
I have a Kubota BX22 with the D905 engine. I am trying to remove the threaded plug on the side of the engine so I can install a block heater. The threaded plug has a 17mm socket head, meaning I must use a 17mm allen wrench to unscrew it. I am having a heck of a time loosening this plug. It's really stuck. I used lots of PB Blaster and an impact wrench, cheater bar, etc....no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply diesel85. Finally broke it lose using a 1/2" drive breaker bar with 17mm allen socket.

Sweet deal!

Most of the time I have better luck and control using a proper breaker bar and the right socket.

Heck, I've gotten frozen 33mm lug nuts off Kenworths that 1" commercial impacts would give up on using breaker bars. Slow, but constant torque sometimes is the name of the game.
