Remove block plug to install block heater - stuck plug?

Trying to install a block heater on my Branson 5520H. Unfortunately the factory that day must've been short staffed and called in Zeus to install this block plug.

I've tried my bolt buster induction heater to heat the plug and surrounding block, I've hit it with PB Blaster and let it sit several times. I've used a 2.5ft breaker bar and extension, and I've used my 1/2" drive impact wrench that can usually take off tire lug nuts.

Can anyone think of anything else? I'm not crazy - this plug is threaded and is supposed to turn?

Can you use one of the frost plugs instead?

You got the right plug, its threaded and "should" turn out....

Have you drained the coolant? It would be very hard to get it hot enough with coolant in it.
You probably need an Oxy/Acetylene torch to get it hot enough. Might have some kind of supper sealer on it.
I would be careful with too much pressure you could crack/break the block, cast iron is funny like that.

Try some Kroil Oil, I've had good results, soak it and let it sit over night, works better than the others, WD40, etc. Also I've tried tightening, and then loosing, and once free, I'd buy a new replacement plug!

Until you get all of the paint off of the threads your penetrating oil won't get where it's needed.

And they probably put pipe dope on the threads.

Heat, lots of heat. Get the plug red.
