I believe the op has stated it uses very similar and same drive line components up to the 39 hp tractor? It's also been brought up if the hydraulic and hst drive system can handle the bump. Time will tell, I hope the op will update this thread with problems or issues he's had after a few hundred hrs or so of use.

Careful consideration has to be given to what you hope to achieve. Kubota's operator's manuals for the L2501 and the L3901 appear to say 52" is the max box blade width. Although the L3901 operator's manual allows a 72" rotary cutter, I'm not so sure I'd want to run my 6' rotary cutter on this size of tractor with the hills I have. Maybe if someone had perfectly flat fields....

I'd compare each and every spec published by Kubota as a starting point of comparison before getting too excited.

Although the L3901 operator's manual allows a 72" rotary cutter, I'm not so sure I'd want to run my 6' rotary cutter on this size of tractor with the hills I have. FWIW, I wouldn't do this mod to my recently purchased L2501 still under factory warranty that cost me a premium price relative to other tractor brands, but it could be more appealing to someone if they found a good deal on a used L2501, but needed more than 25 hp for their specific use case. Used L2501s do pop up from time to time.

My L2501 is relatively new (2021). These are very very reliable and robust tractors. Most owners will never even use their warranty.
But, yes, you will not have that piece-of-mind if you choose to install the Turbo Kit on a new L2501.

There's a really good chance I'll be installing this Turbo kit on a brand-new L2502, lol.

None of the Turbocharged L2501's have had any cooling issues whatsoever in hundreds of hours of use. The HST transmission and PTO train are essentially the same in all similar sized Kubota Standard L Series tractors, including the L3901 / L3902.

Some discretion and common sense needs to be considered before attaching equipment to the tractor. Any user would need to make sure they are properly ballasted before running and driving larger implements.
