Kubota G1900 won't start

My Kubota G1900 wont start. when I turn the ignition, the glow plug light does not come on and the engine will not turn over. This has happened before and usually I leave it alone for a while and when I come back to it it starts, but it has been a week and it still wont start. any suggestions?

First suspect- bad battery.
I had a bad cell last year in my G1800S battery- it tested "charged" on my dumb tester at home, but actually had an internal short. It did just what you describe.
